Alumina Ceramics
Alumina ceramics for electronic, wear, mechanical, and thermal applications are produced from 85 to 99.5% purity.
GBC Materials' ceramic parts are used in cellular phones, thermostats, semiconductor packages,
ABS (Automotive Braking Systems), air bag restraint systems, microwave varactors, wear parts, thermocouples, medical implants
and many others.

Glass Sealing Preforms
Several glass compositions are available from GBC. Thermal expansions are available over a range from 32 to 130 x 10-7 in/in/ºC. The preformed frames, rings, and solids introduce a finite amount of sealing glass, which can be shaker-loaded into sealing fixtures.
Steatite & Cerasil™
For low-cost ceramic insulators, GBC offers two basic materials: L3 Steatite Ceramic and
Cerasil™ 223U Ceramic.
Steatite components are often used in the household appliance industry and in heater applications. This material has a high physical strength with good electrical properties.
Cerasil™ is similar to steatite but has some distinct advantages.
Cerasil™ has a lower C.O.T.E. resulting in excellent thermal shock resistance. In addition
Cerasil™ also has a lower firing temperature, lower shrinkage and lower tool wear, all of which lower processing costs and offer cost effective solutions to our customers.

Hybralox™
Alumina-Loaded Glass
Hybralox™ is a series of hybrid alumina-loaded glasses developed to be harder, stronger, and to have a higher thermal conductivity than normal sealing glasses.
Precision Glass
GBC produces precision glass tubing and rods. These glass components are used in miniature fuse bodies, lenses for photo transistors, glass-to-metal seals
and a variety of electronic applications.
Wesgo “VX” Super Refractory
Wesgo "VX" Super Refractory can withstand severe thermal shock conditions that would shatter virtually all conventional ceramic
materials. It is used in the making of crucibles, slabs and boats and special fixtures for
brazing, sintering, melting and
heat-treating applications.
