Alumino Silicates
HybraloxTM is a series of
alumina-loaded glasses that are harder, stronger, and have higher thermal conductivity than normal sealing glasses. Varied concentrations of alumina allow both thermal expansion matching as well as desired sealing temperatures in both match seal and compression glasses.
CerasilTM is similar to steatite and with some distinct advantages. CerasilTM has a lower
C.O.T.E. resulting in excellent thermal shock resistance. CerasilTM also has a lower firing temperature, lower shrinkage, and lower tool wear, all of which lead to lower costs.
